There once was a boy whose parents named him "Odd". Other children used to tease him about his name, but he refused to be hurt or bothered about it. As he grew up, people continued to make fun of his name, even after he became a successful attorney.
Finally, as an old man, he wrote out his last wishes. "I've been the butt of jokes all my life," he wrote. "I'll not have people making fun of me after I'm gone."
So he instructed that his tombstone not bear his name. Yet after his death, people would notice his large, blank stone and remark, "That's odd."
